Northwest Alaska

Hunt Species:

  • Alaska-Yukon Moose
  • Grizzly Bear
  • Sitka Blacktail

Fully Guided Hunts

If a truly exceptional trophy Alaska-Yukon bull Moose is on your radar, this is the hunt for you. When it comes to putting big ones on the ground, this outfitter is unsurpassed. These Moose average 65” on the guided hunts, but some have exceeded 70” in the last few years. This talented and experienced outfitter has access to some of the best areas in Alaska. Our clients have taken multiple record book bull Moose on these hunts with rifles and archery equipment.

These areas are draw only hunts with a December 1st deadline, so plan on booking at least a year or two in advance.

Grizzly Bear can be taken as incidental trophies on guided hunts for an additional $5,500 trophy fee.

$20,500 per hunter.

September 1st – 25th

Drop Hunts

In our opinion, this is one of the most economical ways to experience hunting in proven, productive areas in Alaska today. Hunters are dropped at fully equipped spike camps stocked with tents, food, canoes and field prep equipment. The outfitter provides the logistics, the hunter does the rest. These are the same hunts, the same fantastic areas with the same available species as the guided hunts, just without having a guide. Be prepared for a tough hunt, and knowledge of the outdoors is key on these hunts. This is a real bargain for the accomplished hunter looking to bag a trophy Moose.

$9,250 per hunter – 2 hunter minimum

Alaska Peninsula

Hunt Species:

  • Brown Bear
  • Alaska-Yukon Moose

The population of Brown Bear on the Alaska Peninsula is at an all time high. With an abundant supply of food sources, the refuge provides excellent habitat and supports one of the highest concentrations of Brown Bear in Alaska. According to Becharof National Wildlife Refuge staff, these concessions are thought to be home to as many as 3,000 of these magnificent animals. Our outfitter’s areas span the entire width of the Alaska Peninsula, from Bristol Bay on the west to the Pacific Ocean on the east. The Island Arm of Becharof Lake provides most of the spawning habitat for Sockeye and Coho Salmon in the Becharof drainage. Consequently, it attracts very high densities of Brown Bear. His other area borders Shelikof Strait on the Pacific side of the peninsula. They have harvested many bears over 10 feet from all three areas. All hunts are 1×1 and these guides love to hunt Bear! They average over 12 years experience and some have worked with this outfitter for over 20 years. The Bear average over 9 feet with success rates over 90%. The seasons alternate hunting the fall in odd years and spring in even years. After every spring season the Alaska Peninsula ‘rests’ for 18 months until the next fall season!

Yukon

Hunt Species:

  • Alaska-Yukon Moose
  • Grizzly Bear
  • Mountain Caribou
  • Wolf
  • Wolverine

This family owned and operated outfit in the Yukon has over 5 million acres that they distribute the harvest throughout, giving hunters some areas to hunt that have either never been hunted, or were not hunted for several years. There are so many remote lakes and rivers, that they have not touched 40% of their vast area. There are many different ways to hunt Moose, as they are common along rivers, lakes and also high in the alpine. All areas are scouted before hunters arrive. Our outfitter lives in Whitehorse, Yukon and owns their own plane, allowing them to scout pretty heavily. The outfitter’s quota is 32 bulls each season, although he will only harvest 20 bulls for management purposes and to insure exceptional trophy quality. If a trophy Moose is on your short list, the big boys are here.

$23,000 per hunter. Grizzly Bear, Mountain Caribou, Wolf and Wolverine all on trophy fee basis.
