Fishing

We consider our fishing offerings to be some of the best and most unique trips in the world. Personally validated, these trips are a great option if you’re looking to set your weapon down and wet a line. They are also the perfect trip for family outings or business entertainment.

Alaska Fishing

Some of the best cold water species fishing in North America is found here. At times, the numbers of fish is simply unbelievable. You’ll stay in a comfortable, fully equipped modern lodge and fly out daily to some of the least-pressured fishing waters in Alaska. Access to bush planes makes it possible fish several different streams or lakes in the same day. This outfitter does absolutely no advertising and has been booking fishing trips on referrals only since the 1980’s. They have access to some of the best waters on the Alaska peninsula. This may be the best kept fishing secret in Alaska where, for many, combat fishing is the rule rather than the exception.

Fish Species:

  • All five species of Pacific Salmon
  • Rainbow Trout
  • Arctic Char
  • Dolly Varden
  • Grayling
  • Lake Trout (on occasion)
  • Northern Pike (on occasion)

$5,900 per fisherman

June 25th – September 9th

British Columbia – Trout Fishing

These Trout rivers are inside our outfitter’s new hunting area and are virtually unknown except to a few die-hard fly fishing enthusiasts. Some ‘celebrities’, like George Bush, go to fish there every spring by flying in via helicopter, but the general fly fishing public either does not know about them or can not get to them, which is just the way we like it! The rivers that have become ‘famous’ elsewhere for fly fishing are now so crowded with fisherman every 400 meters that the experience is lost.
Our outfitter uses custom-built ocean vessels and river jet boats to access over 100 miles of immaculate fly water on two remote and pristine British Columbia coastal mountain rivers. During this 4-day, all-inclusive trip, fisherman can expect to catch and release as many fish as they can handle. 30-40 fish per day or more is not a stretch. This true wilderness experience includes comfortable accommodations and home cooked meals, including beach BBQs with freshly caught seafood such as prawns, oysters and crab caught daily.

Sea-run Fish Species:

  • Cutthroat Trout
  • Bull Trout
  • Rainbow Trout

$7,000 per fisherman. Two fisherman minimum, four fisherman maximum.

March & April only

British Columbia – Sturgeon Fishing

If you’re truly looking for a unique and thrilling fishing experience, look no further than our outstanding Sturgeon fishing trip on the Fraser River in British Columbia. We work with a globally recognized outfitter continues to catch the largest White Sturgeon on the planet. Fisherman travel from all corners of the globe to fish the Fraser River with the outfitter. The outfitter guarantees a catch for every boat, providing every client the opportunity to put their hands on not only the largest freshwater species in the world, but one of the oldest (surviving three ice ages). Conveniently located just 1.5 hours outside of Vancouver, the Fraser River holds an estimated 60,000 White Sturgeon. These Sturgeon can live over 150 years old, and are incredibly large “fish.” You can expect to catch a Sturgeon longer than you are tall on this trip (over 6’). Most Sturgeon at 6’ in length will weigh ~200 lbs.

What makes catching these dinosaurs so exciting is the fight itself. You may expect that since these fish are so long and heavy, they wouldn’t put up much of a fight. It’s quite the opposite, in fact! This outfitter knows where these dinosaurs are! Many of the guides have been fishing on the river for over 15 years. Fisherman opt to stay at the exceptional local bed and breakfast just minutes from the boat launch. With your stay, you will receive gourmet breakfast and dinners, along with personalized treatment and unbelievable customer service. The beautiful property maintains stunning scenery and can accommodate up to 12 people. The place offers an outdoor hot tub for relaxation, large gazebo with a fire pit, and spacious living. The perfect accommodations after a long day of fighting these dinosaurs! Fishermen simply fly in and out of Vancouver, British Columbia and make the short drive to the appropriate area on the Fraser River. There is truly no “peak season” for catching these Sturgeon, therefore trips are run throughout the course of the year. This trip provides a great opportunity to wrap up a trip by experiencing the beautiful city of Vancouver for a day or two.

Daily Fishing Rates (8 hours… typically 8am – 4pm):

1-2 People – $849 ($424*)
3 People – $949 ($316*)
4 People – $1,049 ($262*)

New Zealand Fishing

This destination is the definition of exceptional. Personally validated, we believe this fishing trip is one of the most exquisite in the entire world.

This outfitter privately owns a 50,000 acre parcel of wilderness providing guests with exclusive access to prime fishing rivers in the Southern Alps. In addition to this, the outfitter holds independent concessions to fish on conservation lands covering some four million acres including National Parks and world heritage areas. Oxygen and nutrient rich glacier fed alpine streams and rivers produce fish that are in strong condition ensuring that setting the hook is only half the challenge. Gin-clear water allows early spotting of fish. This clarity however means that whilst anglers can see the fish, the fish can also see the angler. Spot and stalk is the method of choice and by far the most exciting. Anglers often use dry fly, streamer and nymph techniques on the same stretch of water.

The lodge is only accessible by helicopter, and is very comfortable with an outstanding food, spirits and wine selection. All meals and accommodation are included in the daily rates. Camp consists of 5 individual chalets that all have a walkway to the main lodge, where community style meals are served. The meals are prepared by one of their 5-star chefs that they fly in on rotation from top restaurants around the world, and they have a menu each night with a few different options for each course so it’s not a one-size fits all type of mentality.

South Island river fishing opens at the beginning of October and runs through to the end of April. This season is characterised by distinct periods which present quite different fishing conditions and challenges to the angler. Most of the major lakes can be fished on a year round basis with varying levels of activity.

Fish Species:

  • Brown Trout
  • Rainbow Trout
